SPS YOG Experience

GamesIHG poster
St Patrick's School has infused YOG into various aspects of students' learning and activities in hope to create a lastimg impression. School events have incorporated YOG to create awareness to students. An apt example is the infusion of the YOG and Olympic values into our Inter-House Games 2009. Students are constantly made aware of the three values of 'excellence, friendship, respect '. Teachers and Housemasters will include these three values in their briefings to the students so as to ensure students adhere to such values.
In St Patrick's School, the school does an excellent job in bringing YOG to the school by not over-burdening teachers and overwhelming students with excessive information. Instead, information about YOG is infused into students' learning via their assessment. The School's Alternative Mode of Assessment (AMOA) leads students into creating more awareness and knowledge of YOG by including YOG as a topic for their project work. This move is met with a very positive response as teachers and students work hand in hand to produce pieces of unique and marvellous work.

When East meets West

Our School has came out with an incredible idea of incorporating YOG into our traditional festivals! The students immersed themselves into creating and coming up with lanterns with the YOG themes. This move is rather bold but it was met with enthusiasm from the students. We were surprised how it was so well received by the school and the lanterns were paraded during the festive period.
