We Share the Same Vision

The vision of the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) is to inspire young people around the world to participate in sport and adopt and live by the Olympic values. It was during its Session in Guatemala City in July 2007 that the International Olympic Committee(IOC) decided to create a new sporting event to educate, engage and influence young athletes inspiring them to play an active role in their communities, and thus the formation of the YOG. This vision of IOC ties in closely with our school's vision to develop our students' capacities to meet challenges and serve our society. Our school has embraced the spirit of Olympic Movement and YOG in educating our students through sport in hope that our students will develop their mind, will and body thus become a more wholly person.

The sigificance of the 2 most distinguished icons of the Olympics i.e. Olympic Rings, Olympic Torch and Flame, cannot be overlooked in this modern era. The torch symbolises the harmony and goodwill which represents the ideals of the Olympic Games while the flame is a symbol of world peace among people in the world. The five rings infront of a white background represent the five continents of the world which are won over to Olympism and willing to accept healthy competition. The world has now come together in hope of world peace.
